Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

SF Sketchfest is incredibly honored to open its 21st festival with a true living legend of comedy: the inimitable Eric Idle. A founding member of the most iconic comedy troupe of all time, Monty Python, Eric also penned the wildly popular smash-hit, Tony and Grammy Award-winning musical Spamalot (now back on Broadway for another run!), and created the original parody rock band, The Rutles. He has appeared in innumerable film, television, radio and theatre productions and is the author of several books, including his bestselling “Sortabiography,” Always Look On the Bright Side of Life, now celebrating the release of a new edition.

For his first live North American show in 7 years, Eric will be joined by his friend and collaborator Jeff B. Davis (Whose Live) for a truly rare, one-night-only performance featuring music, conversation, and scenes — including the world premiere of a NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN Monty Python sketch! ($95 Orchestra Front, $85 Orchestra Side/Rear, $75 Balcony, All Ages)
