"The Wrong Guy" Screening & Reunion

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Co-Presented by Hollywood Entertainment
Unreleased, unrentable, and out-of-print, "The Wrong Guy" has nevertheless persisted and become a beloved underground classic by those who've seen it and is ready to be embraced by comedy fans who have not. Based on a sketch he wrote for his seminal series "The Kids in the Hall", the film stars Dave Foley as Nelson Hibbert, an office exec whose vengeful declarations come true—except he had nothing to do with the resulting crime. Directed by legendary comic David Steinberg and anchored by a who's-who-of-1990s-comedy supporting players (Jennifer Tilly, Joe Flaherty, Colm Feore, Enrico Colantoni, Kevin McDonald, and more), the movie deliriously mixes Hitchcock homage, inspired absurdism, class-conscious parody, and rapid-fire wit, calling to mind its creators and stars' work on "The Kids in the Hall", "The Simpsons", and "SCTV", while creating an outlandish and hilarious universe of its own. With stars Dave Foley, David Anthony Higgins, Jay Kogen, Kevin McDonald, and Jennifer Tilly in attendance. Moderated by SF Sketchfest co-founder Cole Stratton. ($45 Front/Center, $35 Rear/Sides, All Ages)
